From the desk of Jonathan Camiré
In the Lord’s perfect timing, we hope to launch a Biblically faithful, Gospel-sharing, and Spirit-led church in Saint-Lazare. Here, I want to zone-in on what it means to be Gospel-sharing in this journey of church planting.
With so many beliefs that oppose the heart of the Gospel in our culture and often in churches, it's important to continually set forth the basic truths of the Gospel. One of my favorite authors, J.I. Packer, summarizes it this way:
"God – the Triune God, Father, Son and Spirit; three Persons working together in sovereign wisdom, power and love to achieve the salvation of a chosen people, the Father electing, the Son fulfilling the Father’s will by redeeming, the Spirit executing the purpose of Father and Son by renewing.
"Saves – does everything, first to last, that is involved in bringing man from death in sin to life in glory: plans, achieves and communicates redemption, calls and keeps, justifies, sanctifies, glorifies.
"Sinners – men as God finds them, guilty, vile, helpless, powerless, unable to lift a finger to do God’s will or better their spiritual lot.”
The Gospel is also known as God's gift of grace which receive only by faith in Jesus.
Seeking to be a Gospel-sharing church will have two implications: that we continually seek to grow in our understanding of the Gospel through our teaching, Sunday worship, and discipleship, and that we seek to live by the implications of the Gospel individually and corporately. We hope and plan that there is no area in church life that the Gospel doesn't touch and transform. By doing so, we hope “our gospel” will reach and renew those around us also, “not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction” (1 Thess. 1:5).
Please pray that we will be Gospel-shaped and -sharing in every ministry!

MEET & GREET 2: Our first Meet & Greet went really well! We hope to host another one for those who couldn’t join us last week. Could you please tell us if you prefer November 7 or 14 for our second Meet & Greet?
YOUNG ADULTS: Pray for our young adults who meet every Wednesday evening to study God’s Word. If you know any young adults who might be interested, please connect them to us!
SHARING THE GOSPEL: See 3-2-1 by Anglican evangelist in the UK Glen Scrivener. It's a helpful and memorable way of thinking of and sharing the Gospel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnpU6nUHzRc&feature=emb_title
HALLOW’S EVE (HALLOWEEN): Every year, I rethink what I believe about Halloween. While desiring to respect the different views represented about Halloween in this list, I want to share this informative and poetic video by the same evangelist, Glen Scrivener, who offers the Christian history behind it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyfXTBdegQM
